SERVICES
Our facility is equipped to hospitalize patients for treatment for a short term or for an extended period of time. Critical patients are monitored throughout the day in our well-equipped ICU area. The ICU area is centrally located so that critical patients can be monitored at all times by our licensed veterinary technicians and the veterinarians.If we feel that the patient is not stable enough to stay in our ICU overnight, we will recommend for them to be transported to the PARC, where there is a veterinarian and staff on the premise throughout the night.

ABOUT
OUR CLINIC
​Mercury Animal Hospital, Inc. first opened in 1972. At that time, it was located at 2722 W. Mercury Boulevard, Hampton. In 1976, Dr. McKelvin became a Hampton resident and a partner in Mercury Animal Hospital. In 1989, Dr. McKelvin purchased the practice and began construction of the present hospital located at 2500 W. Mercury Boulevard.

Mercury Animal Hospital is a full service facility. We specialize in dogs, cats and pocket pet animals. Our facility is equipped to offer a wide range of services to serve our clients and our patients. Our services include medicine, general and orthopedic surgery, dentistry, maintenance and preventative care (wellness), daycare, boarding, extended boarding (military), baths, flea treatments and grooming.

Our hospital is equipped with smoke and carbon monoxide detectors and an alarm system with security cameras which will alert the police, fire department and both doctors in case of any adverse events.

The staff at Mercury Animal Hospital are real animal lovers. This is the First and Foremost requirement of all staff members. Each employee is well trained to handle every pet in a gentle, loving and caring manner. This ensures that the pet’s stay with us is as comfortable as possible. You will find each staff member is very friendly and willing to assist the client with their pet and answer any questions concerning our services. Continuing education is very important to our staff. It provides us with up-to-date information on new services, products or the development of new diseases or treatments, that we can inform and/or offer our clients.
